What fits in 4 hours
Four hours is a study day, not a single block. Very few people focus that long without stopping, so use the countdown as the frame and run shorter blocks inside it:
| Plan | How it fills four hours |
|---|---|
| 4 × 50/10 | Four 50-minute blocks, each followed by a 10-minute break: exactly four hours |
| 8 × 25/5 | Eight Pomodoros with a 15-minute long break after the fourth, a little over four hours |
| 2 × 90 + light work | Two 90-minute deep blocks, a 15-minute break between them, then 45 minutes of admin |
| One long window | A take-home exam or a hackathon sprint, with one countdown for the whole time |
Day math: one four-hour frame is a serious study morning; two of them with an hour for lunch make a full nine-hour day.
Want breaks built in?
The closest interval method is the 52/17 timer: 52 minutes of focus, then a 17 minute break, on repeat.

It gives you the same structure without a person on camera: a visible countdown, calm background sound and planned breaks. If you want company, study with a friend on a call and start the same timer together.
No. Put the breaks inside the four hours, for example 10 minutes after every 50, and a longer pause halfway for food and fresh air.
Plug it in and check your power settings before you start. On supported devices the timer asks the browser to keep the screen on, but a system sleep can still pause the page.
